So in a fairly unprecedented move, I've decided to race my heart out on our two-man Race Across the West squad, Team Switchback, and then link up in Durango, CO with an awesome group of Limey's who are doing the 2-man Race Across America and crew for them all the way to Annapolis, Maryland!
Team Velocity Bikes is supporting a wide range of charities, but the real kicker for me is that the two racers and many of the crew are all professional firefighters (current and retired) in the United Kingdom.
Firefighting is a true brother and sisterhood and I believe that this will be an excellent way to meet a bunch of new people, see the RAAM from the crew perspective and support my firefighting brethren, all after racing in the Race Across the West with Eric Begin.
The timing for this is perfect as I already have a bunch of time off in June. Why not support another team and have a fun, challenging time across the country...
