Team Switchback Party, April 17th

Team Switchback has an amazing group of supporters and so on Saturday, April 17th, we are getting together to fundraise and celebrate the incredible journey that we are embarking on in June.

Join Tim and Eric, our friends and family at noon on the 17th for BBQ, beer, family and awesomeness.

Here's the details:

10557 West 107th Avenue

Wesminster, CO 80021

Yo, Eric Begin and Tim Case are racing their bikes from Oceanside, CA to Durango, CO this June in support of the Southern Exposure Foundation, which builds homes for the impoverished citizens of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Juarez has been called the "murder capital of the world" by the BBC and has a higher per-capita murder rate than L.A. County. Juarez sits a few short miles across the border from El Paso, TX and they need our help.

$10 - $20 suggested donation gets you beer and BBQ food. Bring a side to pass and get your drink on, for a good cause, of course.

We're gonna raise some money for an incredible cause and have fun doing it.

See you there.

Tim and Eric

So in a fairly unprecedented move, I've decided to race my heart out on our two-man Race Across the West squad, Team Switchback, and then link up in Durango, CO with an awesome group of Limey's who are doing the 2-man Race Across America and crew for them all the way to Annapolis, Maryland!

Team Velocity Bikes is supporting a wide range of charities, but the real kicker for me is that the two racers and many of the crew are all professional firefighters (current and retired) in the United Kingdom.

Firefighting is a true brother and sisterhood and I believe that this will be an excellent way to meet a bunch of new people, see the RAAM from the crew perspective and support my firefighting brethren, all after racing in the Race Across the West with Eric Begin.

The timing for this is perfect as I already have a bunch of time off in June. Why not support another team and have a fun, challenging time across the country...

Remember, we are still seeking tax deductible donations for Team Switchback and the Southern Exposure Foundation.

Please send us your supporting donation to:

Welcome to the Jungle

Team Switchback is officially on the board. Registration is complete for the 2010 Race Across the West.

We really need your support in the upcoming months and would appreciate any donation that you can provide for us and the Southern Exposure Foundation.

Remember, this is "just" a bike race, but we are racing for a charity that builds homes in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. 4k builds one single family home down there...how much can you afford to donate?

Every.single.dollar.counts!
